Can I - now or soon.... Pay my line rental to Virgin instead of BT?

I'm Virgin's ADSL service and currently pay my line rental to BT, I'd much rather have it all with Virgin.

Don't think you can.You must have cable installed to have a VM line.

We've not been told anything definate yet - but from the way it is being talked about you are probably looking at weeks rather than months

Well my contract is up on August the 14th. I've not heard any more about this from them. I'm probably going to try and find an unlimited isp cheaper now anyway.

When I called to ask them when my contract is up they said call back on the 14th and they will be able to offer me some loyalty discounts but they wouldn't tell me what.

I point you in the direction of the website (http://www.virgin.net/allyours/) ;)

One bill. One provider. One simpler life
Join Virgin Media and you'll get just one bill for all your phone and broadband services. That's because we can now take care of your phone line rental too, so there's no need to go through BT.

I phoned yesterday and was quoted £11 + £28 for line rental and unlimited Internet and phone calls from virgin. I'm paying 11.50 + 19.99 for that at the moment, so it may best just to stay on bundle one that I was already on.

Having said that when I logged on to look this morning it tells me my Internet is only 40gb a month. Which isn't right. Unlesss they changed it without telling me.

Thanks for keeping me up to date though :tu:

Though what is your speed on the line and are you in a LLU area? AFAIK the £19.99 deal is only an up to 8Mbit service

Yup I'm on an up to 8mb line, I get 6.5mb

With a potential move to Cornwall where we won't be able to have cable, I'm interested in this and checking the information realise the best price is with "LLU unbundled" areas.

How do I know where the "LLU unbundled" areas are ???
