Do any of the knowlegable types out there have any ideas about this?
Broadband (cable) and TV go down for (consistently) 10 minutes each time - enough to make me suspect some sort of automatic time out and reset.
Always TV and internet together, then can't ping the virgin gateway.
Send and Recieve lights off, sync flashing, ready light off.
TV shows Err 12
Virgin have replace the cable modem
Technician has visited twice - changed the TV box, changed various connectors inside and outside house.
It has happened 4 times already today. Other days are similar (although only really tested weekends).
Since the outage is only for 10 mins it generally comes back up during a support call - at which point the person at other end needs pursuading it is not now "cured". They tell me they are detecting no network faults from their end.
Technician is comming again on July 4th - next available Saturday....
