After looking for reasons for mums cable internet to be slow sometimes too slow to browse noticed the street cabinet has no doors at all. This could be children as the cabinet is close to where a large congregation of travellers and refugees live or heaven forbid BT since its against BT exchange fence :D:D:angel:

Test 1: 1024K took 4475 ms = 228.8 KB/sec, approx 1885 Kbps, 1.84 Mbps
Test 2: 1024K took 4361 ms = 234.8 KB/sec, approx 1935 Kbps, 1.89 Mbps
Test 3: 1024K took 4377 ms = 234 KB/sec, approx 1928 Kbps, 1.88 Mbps
Test 4: 2048K took 13621 ms = 150.4 KB/sec, approx 1239 Kbps, 1.21 Mbps
Overall Average Speed = approx 1747 Kbps, 1.7 Mbps
A little slow for a 4meg connection unless I am used to my ADSL being faster just using both connections at present this by day and ADSL in the evening.
The cabinet is located Peel Street Droylsden M43 area.
