Another Slow 50mb! [Archive]

Had 50mb installed yesterday, getting really quick speeds at a constant 6MB per second down from astraweb.

Just started to try some downloads today and the speed is shocking! Peaking out at around 1MB per second and jumping all over the place.

Is this normal for the first few days?

I'm going to call 150 now and see if they can help, although they usually can't!

150 is customer service who your right can't help with a techincal issue 151 who is tech support can help you.

Thanks for that, I only just got the phone line installed yesterday - I'm usually paying through the nose on my mobile when I need to call them.

TBH I dont even know what the phone number is for the line they put in yesterday!

You could try posting on the newsgroups its the 2nd line team and they are normally brilliant.

Try dialling 01753 737 301 this is a national number, charged national rate that should reveal the telephone number.

Alternatively, you could always try calling your mobile. ;)
