Internet went down for 10 minutes, now its back up, but whole chunks of the internet are just timing out on me. Most conspicuously *.googlevideo.com, which means I can't watch any youtube movie presently.

Does anyone know if anything is going on?

Just done a speed test on speedio.net. Or rather, tried to. After 10 mins, the speedometer needle hadn't moved more than 2 pixels off the number 0. Thats, sub 100kbps, on a 10MB L connection.

Google was down for me earlier, but it appears ok now

Ok, 4 hard reboots of the modem, and its giving me 8.9MB down on speedio.net, not brilliant considering I normally get 9.5ish, but better than sub 100kbps.

It took the RDY light on the modem, a long time to stop flashing, much longer than normal, so before anyone asks:

Downstream Lock : Locked
Downstream Channel Id : 2
Downstream Frequency : 586750000 Hz
Downstream Modulation : QAM64
Downstream Symbol Rate : 6952 Ksym/sec
Downstream Interleave Depth : taps12Increment17
Downstream Receive Power Level : -4.0 dBmV
Downstream SNR : 38.5 dB

Upstream Lock : Locked
Upstream Channel ID : 3
Upstream Frequency : 25800000 Hz
Upstream Modulation : QPSK
Upstream Symbol Rate : 2560 Ksym/sec
Upstream transmit Power Level : 41.0 dBmV
Upstream Mini-Slot Size : 2

Looks OK to me, but Im no expert.

Your power levels do look spot on.

I never usually ask but could you post the modem logs, just curious.

It looks like you had a local area fault and it took around 6 minutes for your ready light to lock on, you can see that it was steady for the previous few days.

If broadbanding reads this he may be able to give more information.

Thanks for posting the logs.

I would say upstream SNR.

I would say upstream SNR.
Could be with it being very slow to lock on.

Ahh, thanks for the info guys :)

As long as it stays stable, and I don't get anymore timeouts, I'm not overfussed. I just hate being without a connection :D
