upgrading to vip package

I had a letter from VM a few weeks ago to upgrade to a vip package for £88 with a V+ HD box. I have been away for 3 weeks, so I can now think about upgrading . The letter does not mention an installation fee but having been reading the forum I think there might be a cost for installing a modem. We have had VM cable for years with two boxes one downstairs and one up stairs we have 2mb broadband the XL TV package + sky sports and the phone.I don't really want the HD box.

Can anyone tell me the cost of an installation fee?

And all so when they install a modem do they need to add another cable from the box out side of the house or do they use the cable sockets already in place?

not sure what you mean.. but you say you have a modem already, that will just stay in its place when they upgrade you... phone them up saying u dont want a V+ and ther should be no install, all they do is upgrade ur account
