Basically got son no.2 on the way and have to re-arange the house to accomdate him so some of my equipment needs to be moved. I'm on the vip package and have moved my pc from upstairs to downstairs by moving the splitter and now have modem and v+ box connected to the downstairs access point with no problems.

What I need now is a new coax cable with f connectors to run from the upstairs access point to the new location of the extra v box. the access point upstairs is in what will be my new son's room and I will be drilling a hole through the wall as the v box is going to be moved into the main bedroom next door.

What I need is a new coax cable 11 metres long with f connectors fitted. I called virgin and they wanted £99 to come out and do this and I can't justify this charge seeing as I can get cables off ebay for £5-£10. However I would prefer to get a cable from an engineer as you don't know what sort of quallity the cables on ebay are.

I'm willing to pay an approprite amount for the cable and connectors.

if anyone can help please pm me.

VM are a rip off trying to charge you that much just for that.
its dead easy to do, an put the f connections on yourself.
I think just make sure you get somthing like RG6 Satellite cable (i'm not sure though just make sure its digital for satellite and cable as apposed from the small cables people buy from the pound shop)

check out here for the cable: http://stores.ebay.co.uk/SYSTEMSAT-DIRECT_COAX-CABLE-DIGITAL-HD-SD-TV_W0QQcolZ4QQdirZ1QQfsubZ12QQftidZ2QQtZkm

and here for plugs/connections: http://stores.ebay.co.uk/essex-satellite-supplies_F-Connectors_W0QQcolZ4QQdirZ1QQfsubZ20900790QQftidZ2 QQtZkm

i've been looking at this http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&item=270286138903

and this http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&item=200263599600

Althought I said 11 metres in my op, 10 would do, just wanted to make sure there is enough slack. out of the two, I would most likly go for the first one as I can actually see the ripples on the sleve where the sheilding is, just have to hope that the build quality is good.

thats what I was thinking (about the first link), at least you can see what type of cable it is, just depends on how well its been made.
