Hi,
I am on the 2mb connection.

lately i have been getting slow internet in terms of anything, wether browsing or downloading. However if i check my internet speed on sppedtest or something it still says im getting around 2mb(which is how much i should be getting).

On the modem the rdy light will often go off for about a second and then come back on, while it is off the d/s will flash(didn't do any of this before), also the modem is a ntl 120. Also have a router, but had that for a long time now and this problem only started a few days ago.

Here are the things(sometimes):
Type : Ambit ETH/USB Combo Cable Modem
Cable modem : Ambit Cable Modem
IP address : 10.252.5.65
Downstream Receive Power Level : 7.14 dBmv
Downstream SNR : 34.37 dB
Upstream Transmit Power Level : 53.80 dBmv

IP address : 10.252.5.65
Downstream Receive Power Level : 7.16 dBmv
Downstream SNR : 17.57 dB -----this changes alot sometimes

thanks for any help

You need to call Tech support if the SNR keeps fluctuating in the way you have posted as you may need a Tech.

Call 151 from a Virgin phone or 0845 454 1111 from any other phone.

phoned, but since speedtest shows correct speed they just say its the router (even though had no problems for past 6 months) and thats it.

Sounds like you have the same issue I had with my Ambit 120... I ended up with a new modem and never had a problem since.

I know the guy who makes that RouterStats software by the way (friend of many years) ;) Figured out my Ambit 120 issue with it too!
