I lost connection for a few days last weekend. After phoning the helpline, was advised I needed a new modem.Lad came Saturday, swapped modems over and all seemed fine. However Sunday I lost connection on and off again and in Diagnostics it said.....DNS appears unable to resolve IP address.
The only way I can get back is to close down, switch off at wall and re start after a few minutes.
Its not happened today but if it does ,should I phone them again or is there anything I can do myself to put this right.

Also I am on XL package and after using Speed test I got this....

Download 7.12Mb/s
Upload 0.73 Mb/s

Are the above numbers right? We use 2 x pcs through a router ( not wireless)

Be gentle with any replies ;) and be patient with a very harassed mam :p:

Many thanks

I can't help directly except to say that searching this forum gets all sorts of information that can help and can be an education itself.
Maybe someone with more experience "than wot i've got:D " will be along to help you out:)

It's an alternative to your ISP's DNS servers. Some people find it more reliable.
