View Full Version : Can they install virgin media on the 2nd floor?

I live on the 2nd floor of this building. Quite high. Do you know if virgin would install their service up here? Thanks

Provided you're in a cabled area, an install to that height that wouldn't pose a problem.

I've lived in flats for the past 12 years, one on the second floor was installed at my expense (as United Artists) moved to a first floor flat above a church, was installed as Telewest Broadband at my expense, and now I live on the 10th floor of concrete city. Cabled here too.

Height isn't an issue, they can drill through your wall and drop the cable down, tack it to the wall (or pipes) top and bottom and pull it taught enough so it doesn't flap around in the wind.

health and safety regulations restrict VM installing above first floor. If there's a long ladder crew working in your area you should be fine. If not its down to the tech/install manager on the day, he would have every right to say no, (unlikely given that work is thin on the ground though)
