Hey Folks,
I had a 10Mb internet connection from VM installed on February 9th. Up until around an hour ago I hadn't noticed any real problems - I tend to do a speed check every now and then, mostly via Speedtest.net, and it usually goes to just under the 10Mb line.

Well I decided to download a linux iso around an hour ago (I use Puppy Linux on an old broken laptop, and there's a new version available). Before I started the download I headed over to Speedtest.net - and I'm not getting the kinda speed that I should. I've just run the test again, and here's the result:

However, at certain parts during the last hour, I've only been getting around 3Mb

I've also tried downloading a file from Microsoft - the latest Flight Simulator trial, and I'm not getting the kinda speed I usually would:

I've switched the modem off a few times, plugged the cat5 straight into the computer - and still no joy.

Any ideas / suggestions / anyone else experiencing problems?

Upload is fine so the could be an issue with your computer or your uBR is just very busy at the time of your download, you are best to call Tech Support at the time it happens so they can check your connection in real time.

Hi Moldova,

I think you were right, about the uBR being a bit more busy than usual - about 30 mins after posting that everything seemed to be back to normal. I ran a couple of speed tests this morning, and they seemed ok, and I've just checked again and everything looks fine.

I guess it was just one of those things.
