View Full Version : 50 Mbit USB dongle - can't get it to work!

Got 50 Mbit installed and working fine wired.

Default G wireless adaptor in my laptop connects fine but.

However when disabled that and loaded software\connected USB dongle no luck.

Followed instructions to the letter the Netgear software just sits there saying its 'scanning' - but never connects!

Tried a de install and re install but the same!

Any ideas?

Either a faulty dongle, you're too far away from the router or most likely you haven't set security up correctly.

Router is two yards away and security is set up correctly as I have successfully connected the Wii and laptop via internal wireless.

You need to call Netgear on the number supplied with your kit.

Working fine now! I changed my SSID from the one I've used for ages - no reason just did! I then changed it back and it started working - ho hum.

Not great speeds with the USB stick but OK for the family laptop.
