So I had an email the other day about the 12 days of christmas thing, Unfortantely I didn't win. I then browsed to this page:

http://www.virginmedia.com/customers/wireless/

I began to fill out everything on there & it has left me with this:

Okay, here's what you've chosen...

Virgin Broadband
No Change

Wireless Router

Virgin Phone
No Change

Virgin TV
No Change

Now I'm wondering because I'm already an existing customer, Been with Virgin/Telewest for 10+ years, Will this Wireless Router be free for me? I know New customers get it free. The price of it has also gone to £20 for 10mb broadband & we're still being charged £25 are we eligible for the price drop also? Never had any kind of deals/price reductions in the whole time we've been with Virgin/Telewest.

lol I've filled it all out and get:

Virgin Broadband
No Change

Wireless Router

Virgin Phone
No Change

Virgin TV
No Change

Nowt about the router being free or the cost for that matter if it's not free?
As for L BB for £20 / month go for it, beats your £25 / month you're paying ATM.

lol yeah free if your a existing non-broadband customer? I didn't see that bit about existing non-broadband. Do i just ring up to query the price change they have made to the 10mb broadband & they should change it right?

I've had Broadband with them since 512k days

512k > 1mb > 4mb > now 10mb

So that rules me out of the free router lol.

The price drop is for non-telephone customers only taking out or upgrading to BB L. Different prices apply if you have a phone

And either way it still shows as £25 on the bill

oh I see so being a long term customer of Virgin is a pointless waste of time arguing lol

Been paying £25 for the internet for god knows how many years
£10 for the phone line for 10+ years
£5.50 for TV package

on here https://allyours.virginmedia.com/websales/product.do?id=3264 it says nothing about having a phone line e.t.c?

I'm so confused with all the pricing of Virgin nowadays....

You could get BB L, a Phoneline and TV XL for £44 a month (an extra £3.50) - the same price as a new customer

it says nothing about having a phone line e.t.c?
Yes it does ;) it says:
Free yourself from a phone line! With our fibre optic cable no phone line is needed

So you're paying £ 41.50 / month for L BB, M TV and M phone?
Why not ring and see if you can get this deal, http://allyours.virginmedia.com/websales/product.do?id=15157 it might tie you into a 12 month contract but for £ 25 / month.

No they've got Starter/Select pack (£5.50) which is above M but below L - doesn't really exist anymore. If you go to M you would lose Sky 1 amongst others

Well up till just I cancelled the £5.50 thing & now have freeview virgin ;) so saving £5.50 there but will be paying £36 a month now :) instead of £41.50, Only watch BBC1/BBC2 & Dave.

I'm guessing Sky1 will disappear at the end of march as thats when we have paid up till. Not entirely fussed with the Sky channels though.

If Mattey wants Sky 1, then
http://allyours.virginmedia.com/html/bundles/triple-builder.html

£ 35 / month on 12 month contract, still beats £ 41.50 / month

and I suppose if you order (change your package) online you'll get the credit?

Nope, the online order credit is only if you order all 3 services online. Package changes don't count
