Looked for any previous posts but can't find any help.

I've tried logging into my modem to check it's signal strength and all I keep getting is a message saying unable to display the image as it contains errors.

It's a WebStar EPC2100 if that helps.

Thanks

Does it do it when you click this link: http://192.168.100.1/

Nope I get the following showing up-

The image "http://192.168.100.1/" cannot be displayed as they contain errors. Strange thing as well is that the above isn't text it's a picture showing that text? I can't copy and paste as it's a gif.

If you use the 'Go Advanced' option to reply to the thread, and then click 'Manage Attachments' you should be able to upload the .gif file as part of your post.

You'll need to save it to your local drive first though.

Had to take a screenshot as it wouldn't save. Quite an odd one.

Thanks

Have you tried browsing to that page in Internet Explorer to negate an issue with Firefox?

Just tried in internet explorer and I'm getting a server timeout error on that. Tried connecting without my router and that makes no difference either :|

Are you using a proxy?

Brilliant thanks. I forgot I had to add one so that I could access the scottish power website for some reason. I've disabled it and got the following-

That is pretty well spot on for a 10Mb connection on the EX-Telewest side.

Yeah sorted the original problem. I was only on 2MB even though everywhere had upgraded to 10MB. I phoned to complain and got my 10MB line, £10 credit to saw sorry and a reduction of £3 per month (What people pay now). Not as much as some people but I'm happy. Had to sign another 12 month contract but that doesn't bother me to be honest.

You get the original error quite a bit with firefox and the Webstar modems for some reason. Never seen the server timeout - incidentally you didn't need to remove the proxy - just put a tick in 'bypass proxy server for local addresses' should have done the trick.
