Having your power levels changed at all?

A look at the power levels would be useful - point your browser at 192.168.100.1 - username/password root/root. Click dowstream and upstream and post the results here. Are you ex NTL or Telewest? And what model was the old modem?

Could be just high load at the time of testing your new modem. You've already say that 10Meg dropped off peak time, so I should think 20Meg is going to follow the same pattern and drop off as well. Test it for a day or two, then get onto VM tech support if it stops low. Plus in both cases your upload is low, should be around 700 kbps

Post modem power, SNR levels for up/down stream and some tech minded peep will tell you if there's a problem with the new modem or not.

Well all looks ok there. What speed test are you using? You could trydownloading 2 or 3 files simultaneously from http://gamefiles.virginmedia.com/blueyondergames/demos and checking the combined speed.

andyho10, I thought you swapped your modem for the new one? The SB4100 is an old modem.

Try the Maidenhead server, I get about half the ping of the London server. It's prolly a connection issue with that particular speedtest server.

Try pinging the BBC in the DOS prompt but only put in" PING BBC.CO.UK " do not put www in front or it will not work.
