cant detect netgear router

upgraded from 10mb to 20mb and virgin sent me a new modem and from searching about on google ive found netgear WGR614 router is a good router for 20mb net.

ive put in the setup cd and followed the instructions, done everything correctly. i can go onto the internet with my pain pc with modem and router connected.

the problem is my brothers laptop cant detect the wireless router, any idea wat the problem is?

ive set up a wep key and such and changed the name(ssid) to my name but it doesnt come up on his laptop.

help plz

Can your brother see any other networks? If not check the wireless is turned on on the laptop. You could also try changing the channel the router is using on the wireless settings page.
