How are my signal levels on my modem as i seem to max out on speed tests but web browsing is a nightmare although my adsl connection works like a dream.
And virgin tech support saying nothing they can do and my ubr is fine.
any good dns srvers to use with virgin?

54dbmv is fine, watch it doesnt go much higher than 55dbmv if your U/S modulation is QAM16.

They may have different power specifications but the requirements are the same-DOCSIS or Euro DOCSIS. The specs are historical and will be aligned at some point.

The guy on this thread is fine,BTW.I'd be looking at something else, maybe the logs of the modem may yield something?

Try using OpenDNS if you wish to try an alternative DNS server.

Its mainly down to routing if the servers cant handle your connection then it will be slow if Virgins routing to the server is crap then it will be slow.

OpenDNS is your best shot atm

If you're ex-ntl that's fine.

Both of your posted frequencies are NTL so as Mags said no problem.
