I thought between 4- 9pm the STM figures were 3GB.

I just downloaded just over 2GB of emails between 7 - 8:30pm to back into a file and i was STM.

Its the first time in MONTHS i have been STM'd.

What about before that? And uploading? That counts too. And 3GB is on 20Mbps, are you on 20Mbps?

An unsecured Wifi on your network? Wife/Kids using it? If its activated before the limit, then contact the newsgroups as it might be a hardware error on VM's end.

Definitely an error VM's end. Get onto the newsgroups and let a technician know. They'll be able to sort it out for you.

Off topic but how do you download 2 gigabytes of 'emails'?

Quite easy if you have multiple Gmail accounts and belong to binary Google/Yahoo groups.

Just let it accumulate for a very long time :)

Regarding the OP some more remember that when you download binary emails via normal mail the data that comes down the wire will be quite a bit more than the file sizes as it has to be converted from binary to ASCII in a similar manner to newsgroup files. If you can confirm that 2GB was all that went down the wire then cool but it would have been quite a bit more if it was a normal email download of 2GB, then you have headers, etc on top of the contents of the files.

Where does one find the VM newsgroups? (please excuse my ignorance)

edit - Ignore me, I've sussed it
