Whenever Virgin / Telewest have upgraded their service in the past, if you were on the top broadband package you were automatically upgraded. Is this happening with the 50mb as I haven't heard anything . Thanks

Yep, The 20mb will not be upgraded to 50mb for free, you have to pay extra!

Although Virgin plans to impliment 100mb at some time so they'll probably upgrade the speed at somepoint, but thats probably going to be 2010/2011 at the earliest!
