Hiya all what is the quality of the router you get supplied with L broadband?
as i currently use a bellkin 54G router, but they are sending me one anyway, is it worth swapping or not?

Its a Netgear WGR614 v9 with embedded Virgin firmware which cannot be flashed.

Possibly better than the Belkin but not as configurable. I don't know about Unflashable though, I did a Sky router back to the Netgear firmware for that model, it wasn't straight forward but definitely not impossible. - However, if the Belkin is working fine, keep it where it is and put the Virgin router in the cupboard as a backup

You tend to brick the Virgin router if you attempt to flash it as the firmware is very helpfully embedded and even Netgear themselves refuse to support it, it can be done if you are patient and very careful but it is no longer a supported router.
