My question is how do I trasffer the data from one to the other?
Is it easy to install?

I feel no one here will know? :(

You will have to back-up your data up onto either an external HD or onto a USB flash drive.

Here is a step by step guide with pics for you Stone

Thanks mate. Have to wait till at home as work has blocked it.

Has anyone done it? It is just that I have ran out of space now on my 60gig.

Very nervous about doing it myself incase I go wrong. :dunce:

Its fairly simple to do tbh and with the pics it would be hard to go wrong. I do know some people have problems with the caddy screws but long as your careful you should be fine m8.

I know what you mean about running out of room to lol I am thinking of upgrading mine soon to.

I put a 250GB Western Digital "Scorpio" in my PS3 (40GB) soon after getting it.

Very easy, & doesn't take very long :)

Yep I thin thats correct Graham. Think any bigger can cause problems or just not work.

What tool do you use to undo the screws?

I think it was a Phillips (cross-head) screwdriver, or one of those other cross-head types that sort of looks like a Phillips but isn't (Pozidriv).

Can't remember the size. Smallish I think like you'd use on a PC.
