My licence of AVG internet security runs out soon and I can't really affored to renew it. Is PCGuard any good as an all in one antivirus/firewall or should I look at other options?

I never found PC Guard to work well.
You can get AVG Free and Zone Alarm. Both are free.

I have AVG 8.0 free on 6 machines and have never found it to be resource hungry.
Only firewall on any machine is the Windows one, although there is one in the router.

PC guard worked OK but definitely slowed down my system. AVG 8.0 works fine for me and seems to have no or little system impact.

Erm, yeah. kesterwww, those links don't work... Not a bad list though.

Well sorry they didn't work. They seemed to work from my yahoo answers page. Perhaps the products could be googled, or copied and pasted into the address bar.
Re: My earlier post, I have never used PC guard, so can not confirm if it's good or not. But I've heard more bad stuff about it than good.
