If the power level is incorrect, and you can see it is causing you issues with your connection, call faults. They will be able to check your modem, and if they agree there is an issue they will send a tech to make some adjustments.

From my limited knowledge on modem power levels, your upstream level looks too high (as confirmed by Stabhappy http://www.cableforum.co.uk/board/34711105-post229.html)

You can either ring tech support or by far the easiest way is to post a message on VM newsgroup support, with details of your upload speed problem inc. power levels info too:

Outlook express setup can be found here (all the below links are at the bottom of the first link):

i have a tech coming out sometime this week to install a new port for me so do you think he can have a look for me?

You're better off checking it with tech support, so they can allocate time for the fix. I know I wouldn't like turning up at someone’s house to install equipment, only to find out more needs to be done that’s not on the job sheet. My guess is that VM will allow so much time per job and if they're got extra to do it will just eat into their day making them late.

Is your upload speed back to normal, around 500kb/s?

So the Tech just fobbed you off so he could leave, "I must be just using it at a busy time".

If your upstream power level is still high, can in touch with newsgroup support as detailed in post 3 of the thread and see what they have to say on the matter. You'll probably be seeing the tech again, if it's still high.
