For 6 months I have been using iplayer on a iPod touch with no issues.

Within last 2 weeks when watching top gear and johnathon creek iplayer pauses every 9 minutes, I think it is buffeting, but cannot see anything happening on screen, picture is just paused. If I press play after about 3 minutes then all ok again for 9 minutes.

I have cleared cache and tried everything apart from restoring iPod.

Any other users having problems.

Could this be my broadband or is it BBC or the iPod touch ?

Any advice appreciated

Regards

buffeting :D

It's your broadband not being fast enough to stream it without stopping for a bit, call up VM and tell them your problem and ask for credit, thats about it.

Ha, no ipod touch brilliant for spell checking.

On 10 mb package, seem to get 5-6mb in evenings. Surely that should be enough for iplayer?

I can't think of it being a problem with BBC server since it's in the UK, try pinging the bbc.co.uk website and post the ping results (filter out your ip though), on my iPhone I use my 20mb internet to watch youtube but it isn't great with buffering, but that's just Virgin and US connections really.
