I already have ntl cable running across my front garden, buried not very deep. I'm thinking of paving over the garden to provide more car parking space. Will this be a problem? Can I lay their cables deeper or should I contact ntl to do this?

How deep is not very deep? If it's unsatisfactory, I'd be inclined to ask VM to bury it deeper at no cost, when they put ours in it was buried to about a foot

A lot of reading here (http://www.cableforum.co.uk/board/62/8384-merged-cable-depth.html) but it seems that 10" should be the minimum depth unless of obstruction..

Thanks to Stuartbe, and others

many thanks :)

have read through thread on burying cables and it seems you might as well do it yourself (with care) than pay £100 for ntl to not do it with care!
