Hello all, I am having a problem and I was hoping I could get some advice.

For the past couple of days, my internet connection has been intermittent.
It will be working fine, then all of a sudden it isn't!
If I leave it a while (maybe 5-10 minutes), it is working again as before. There is no telling how long it will work before stopping again though. Sometimes I can get a good couple of hours, sometimes a few minutes.

As far as I know, nothing has changed my end.
I have tried power-cycling the modem several times. Sometimes it worked, other times it would still be down, which leads me to believe that it's not my modem at fault.
I have tried connecting without my router, to no avail.

I am in the SG6 area, which I believe is connected to the Luton exchange. Are there any known issues?

As I said, any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Could you post your power levels?

Yes of course, here you go:

Downstream Receive Power Level : 1.1 dBmV
Downstream SNR : 41.6 dB

Upstream transmit Power Level : 50.0 dBmV

Let me know if you need more info.

All fine, what modem do you have?

I have the... (hunts under desk)... 250, the blue NTL one.
I have had 3 or 4 stoppages today, most of them short but annoying. But that last one (which I just recovered from) was a big one. It lasted about half an hour, and only worked again once I had power-cycled the modem.

Oh, I have also tried to run my laptop wirelessly when it goes down, and that doesn't work either, so it's definitely not a computer fault.

Do any lights go out on the modem when you lose connection if yes which ones?

Not really, no.
Power, Enet, Sync and Ready are all solid.
Send and Recv both flicker a couple of times every so often.

I'd call in and ask them to check for any SNR issues where your modem connects on to (ubr).

It could be. I haven't had any problems today (touch wood!), maybe the yfixed it. Have you had any problems?

I haven't had any problems for 2 days, but this morning it wasn't working at all, the modem couldn't get a DHCP connection. But then it was working, and no problems since then.
