can anyone help? Called customer services for broadband upgrade from 2Mb to 10Mb free for a month but don't seem to have changed after running the sites speed test.

I've tried the power modem off for 30 seconds trick a couple of times.

Can anyone help?

I think the SACM is a 256 model if this helps.

If it doesn't go up straight away, it won't go up at all. You need to phone them.

That is nonsense.

It should go through straight away, however it doesn't always. If it doesn't it means it's broke. It breaks sometimes. So you are both right, sort of.

dude sometimes theres a queue of hits waiting to go through.. its like the billing system.. if you make a payment it can take between 2-24 hrs for ur services to become active.

yes.. it should be instant and its always been instant for me personally.. when i upgraded to 10 meg bbi .. it took 7 hrs for the activation hit to come through to my modem.

so like i said.. it depends..

so no.. its not nonsense..
didnt really care much for that shotgun reply..

What does the bit rate on the modem config page at 192.168.100.1 (username/password root/root if required) say? Should be 10240000 for the downstream, if not you need to call them.

Maximum Downstream Data Rate : 2048000

Giving them a call now.

One call to faults and issue has been resolved. They dropped the config file down.
