Any suggestions as to what the problem is as im totaly stuck.

Just to add. When i plug directly into my PC i have tryed both my NIC's. Both the onboard one and a PCI-E one and the fault happens on both.

Iv have 2 connection drops in the time iv posted this and my Downstream Receive Power Level aseems to flutuate quite a bit to as low as : -6.0 dBmV

As I said above your power levels look normal so you may have an issue on the uBR and only Tech Support can tell you that.

I would post on virgin media's newsgroup support for an answer, as it will save you a lot of time on the phone. Just start a new thread off, with what you're said in your original post.

For how to setup outlook express for newsgroups:
http://www.virginmedia.com/customers...setting-up.php
and the group you need to subscribe to is:
virginmedia.support.broadband.cable
They are very helpfull and normally you get a reply pretty quickly.
