What all the below means?, I took it from the page that comes up when I go to routerlogin.net/connection status, and if it's a good signal to noise ratio?, because sometimes the internet just drops off where it won't connect to any web pages.

ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed 8128 kbps 448 kbps
Line Attenuation 28.0 db 12.0 db
Noise Margin 6.5 db 23.0 db

Have a look here:

and
http://www.kitz.co.uk/adsl/linestats.htm

You may want to try some of these:

Try plugging into Master socket test socket, behind the faceplate. Then re-test, it may be an internal wiring problem. Generally to improve your stats you should split the DSL signal at the master socket with a faceplate filter (http://www.clarity.it/xcart/home.php?cat=262), if you haven't already done so.

Do you have any cordless handsets. Some can interfere with the DSL signal. Turn them off and re-test.

What’s the quality of your line like. Have you had any problems with crackling / noise in background when making voice calls. You could try a quiet line test `17070' from the phone and select option 2 and listen to see if there's any background noise on the line.

Removing ring wire(s) from BT sockets (This may increase your stats / download speed).

No cordless handsets that are connected to the phone line if that's what you mean?, I have a mobile phone but that won't make any difference I doubt?

Quality of the line is okay, after doing the quiet line test there is absolutely ZERO noise on the line, that's excellent right?, and there is no crackling or noise in the background when on a call.

Can't really make head or tail of the websites you linked to sorry lol, but could you tell me if my stats are OK?

You have a relatively short line and your syncing at full speed, downstream noise margin is abit low though. (6.5db)

As Axegrinder says your D/S noise margin is on the low side:
So depending on when you did the line stats, as they change thoughout the day (morning being best) yours is getting towards the worst margin you can have.

(it's all in the first link, near the top of the page)

SN Margin (AKA Signal to Noise Margin or Signal to Noise Ratio)
Relative strength of the DSL signal to Noise ratio. 6dB is generally the lowest dB manufactures specify in order for the modem to be able to synch...

The higher the number the better for this measurement.

6dB or below is bad and will experience no synch or intermittent synch problems
7dB-10dB is fair but does not leave much room for variances in conditions
11dB-20dB is good with no synch problems
20dB-28dB is excellent
29dB or above is outstanding

Have you tested your connection plugged into the master socket, to eliminate any internal wiring / other equipment from the equation. As a starting point, make sure you have all the extra phones unplugged. Leaving only the master phone in while testing.

Have you got another router you can try, as some cope with low SNR better than others?.
Have you got and different other ADSL filters you can try?.
