Just phoned VM to cancel NASN saving £10 a month and they offered me an upgrade from 10Mb to 20Mb on my BB for £4 a month extra. (they weren't clear for how long)

I thought VM were taking away all these type of offers

Its Probably CHEAP as they Probably cannot provide the " UP TO 20Mb" due to over Utilisation.:mad::td: and the term will be for 12 months as a Changed contract.

It depends what your were paying before. Because of the services you have probably been moved onto something like the 3 for £56 or the XL BB for £20

Any chance you can post you existing service charges and I'll let you know if it's genuine ;)

If you have virgin phone you can upgrade your L to XL Broadband for £4, or M to XL for £11, it was in virgins click mag issue 4 Sept 08.

Indeed, the standard upgrade between L and XL is £12 but there is extra discount avalaible which makes the upgrade £4.

So yes, it is valid option (under the right circumstances)

I currently have a package with VM that gives me XL BB, Free anytime calls and basic TV package, and i think its £48 for the first 6 months, then goes to £52, but unfortunately the 20 meg BB is suffering a bit at the moment, so i wanted to try and just down grade to 10 meg BB to see if it would provide a more stable connection for my online gaming, but was amazed when the nice lady on the phone said "yes sir you can down grade but it will cost you an extra £8 a month", due to you loosing some discount or other.

Does anyone know if there is a deal out there that may suit me better, i only wanted to try the 10 meg BB to see if it was any better, but want to try and avoid paying more, i would have gladly swapped my 20 meg for 10 but still payed for 20, just as an excersize. Then once things improve switch back.

soz for going off topic a bit.

Again, would be helpful if you could post the entries from the advance charges section of your bill - especially the discount you get

ok thanks, will do as soon as i get one, only been with VM for 2 months so far, and got disconnected last week for non payment, (not recieved a single bill yet)

despite VM apparently sending 2 in the post, i think my post man is eating them!!!

I had set up a direct debit so just left it to run its course, anyway now sorted and VM have agreed to send copies of the bills free of charge>
