People have made Bonfire night effigies of Thatcher, Reagan, Bush, Blair and many others so what make this one wrong, it is just a bit of fun.

Of course he doesn't. It's just what on earth is the point of this topic? Nov 5th is officially used to in association with Guy Fawkes. You are welcome to burn a effigy of whomever you like however..:dozey:

So you support this evil,evil,man?

Are you a Republican (a la Sarah Palin / Karl Rove)?

You seem to be using their tactics - if someone disagrees with you, they must support what you are against. :dozey:

btw, I think it is time we stopped burning effigies - it has been over 350 years since poor old Guy failed.

Didn't click thru, just used basic arithmetic (and a bit of smartassery ;) )

Anyhoo, all us Kaffliks know that Guy was cruelly put to death in 1606 - he would be knighted now for trying to blow up Parliament...... :D

That's one helluvah long time to hold a grudge! :D

It is primarily marked in the United Kingdom where it was compulsory, by Royal Decree, to celebrate the deliverance of the King until 1859.

Quite a grudge:D

What's Yusuf Islam (Cat Stevens) ever done to deserve this?

Anyhoo, the problem with these threads is the old "don't wrestle a pig" trope - nothing good comes of it and the pig kind of likes it.
