Hi all, I dont know if anyone can help but its worth a go.

I have a citreon xantia and its a great car but tonight the suspension is right down at the back (lower than normal)and dosent rise like it should do. It is obviously a fault but I am hoping it could be something cheap like a fuse:):):) I have had a littler look arounb the net and not found exactlty the same thing descibed but I am thinking it may be the rear spheres(whatever they are:confused:)

The other thing I need to know is will it break the car more to drive it slowly(and bumpyly) until I can afford to get it mended?

If anyone can gice me a bit of advice I will be really grateful.

Thanks all,

Dave

Try sending a private message to any of the xantia owners in this thread

Your car is riding without suspension if it is not rising up when it starts so it will be dangerous to drive as there is no suspension to deal with the lumps and bumps of the road and keep all they tyres firmly planted on the road.

i used to have a xantia, and it was a nice car. it does sound like the rear hydraulics are not working correctly. the spheres are part of the suspension system, iirc there are 5, when i had my xantia it cost me £250 to have them all replaced. unfortunately that was about 6 years ago.

Ive had a xantia that did this , it was the rear height corrector .
