HI, I am a newbie so please be gentle, sorry if this sounds a bit of a ramble but I havent got a clue what I'm doing, here goes...........

I am on Virgin Cable TV, Phone and Broadband Internet, i bought a D-Link DKT 110 Wireless G Starter kit but I dont think i have the right thing because.............. when setting it up i was asked to attach the modem to the router BUT my cable screws into the modem so I havent got an ethernet connection, I went and bought an extra ethernet cable but that means the computer hardrive is then connected to both the modem and the router and instead of being wireless i now have more wires than I know what to do with !

Any ideas I know it's all a big mess but i will appreciate any suggestions. Thank You:confused:

What you need to do is connect the ethernet cable that comes out of the Cable modem to the WAN port on the wireless router.

Leave the Coax cable exactly where it is at the moment - connected to the modem.
