The door of the Street cabinet (Churchill rd -Keble rd Bicester OX26 4TP)is wide open again. During last 4 years I reported it to ntl-virgin media dozens of times..still no joy. Engineers turn up, try to force it shut and go away.I reported it again this afternoon still nobody turned up to shut it securely. Please VM engineers ..get there before the vandals..

The process is not working as we have told the managers time and time before .Fingers crossed the person you spoke to passed it to the right dept and lets hope a tech gets it to do in the morning .:)

Phone up your local cancil's health and safty department. the street cabs carry mains voltage (for the amps)and so by law MUST bee lockedshut. BOTH the cancil (as the boxes are on cancil propety) and VM could bee held liable should a child play around in there and electcure themselves. remind the cancil of this and they WILL get something done (including possiability of fining VM for breaking the terms of their wayleave agreement).

Every Wednesday, I drive along Gordon Road in St. Ann's, Nottingham. The ntl/VM green cabinet on the corner of Dowson Street (or is it Hudson Street?) has had no door on it for months. All the wires and equipment are there for all to mess around with.

In st Anns they are often ripped off so people can hook up their chipped boxes.

It's a bit of a cheek expecting people to call an 0870 number to report a problem. Why not a normal geographic number?

Good Q.

IMO it's paying for the few people who effectively man the phones.

Why not try 0121 6281234 then? (Reception desk, Small Heath, Birmingham for maintenance issues on damages to junction boxes)
