All Virgin advertising only states UP TO SPEEDS so the person who mentioned the speeds can only state what the adverts state, check the link below.

My most recent download was approx 12.5 GB in about 90 minutes - not in your area, admittedly, but it does show that 'up to' 20Mb can get fairly close to what it says on the tin, when it works.
hth
my main thing was i did not want to be paying for 20MB and only get around 10
but i think i'm going move over to there VIP package and see how it goes for 12 month as i already have 2MB BB . XL tv + sky sports / movies and M phone and im playin over £100 for that :td:
To be fair, VM can't guarantee your full 20mb all of the time but all in all cable reliability and speeds are pretty good. Lights blue touchpaper and stands well back :)
if you are thinking of getting 20MB
go and get it...
if you dont download between 1.8 to 2.5MB/S (During NON Traffic Management Times)
then you are not getting your full 20 MB
and there for should be entitled to downgrade as you wish.
I have 20MB and i download @ 2.4 MB/S aka a 150MB Game demo in like 8-10 seconds
IT is ofcourse an UP TO service tho so even if you are getting 15-18 meg connection
then you are technically getting what ur paying for in some ways...
