Text Messaging

According to the Virgin Media website I should be able to setup Text Messaging from my landline. My new Panasonic phone supports this feature but is pre-programmed with the message centre numbers for BT and when I attempt to send a message, nothing happens. I can't find any equivalent numbers for Virgin Media - the website (un-)helpfully says 'refer to manual for your phone'.

Can anyone enlighten me on how to make this work ?

VM simply use the BT Text Messaging system, so the programmed numbers will be the same.

However it only works on the xTelewest side and not the xNTL side.
