Hey all

So I finally managed to sign up for VMedia and received my welcome letter a week ago and the quick start stuff arrived today
Only problem is, doesn't the install ask you for an "Internet username" when setting up?
The welcome letter doesn't have one and the "account card" at the bottom says

Internet Username: To follow

Well, that hasn't arrived with the quick start pack, so I'm abit worried heh

Once you hook up the modem and try to go online you will be taken to the registration servers. You will set up all your usernames and passwords there online.

You call Tech Support who will supply you with your username and password on 151 0ption 3 from a Virginmedia landline or 0845 454 1111 option 3 from any other phone line.

The other thing you will need is access to Selfcare to personalize your email address and reset your password and download PC Guard if required. https://selfcare.blueyonder.co.uk/IIPSCVM/

You go to http://activation.virginmedia.com (either by forced redirection or by typing it in) and follow the on screen instructions to set up e-mail and password

Thats if it works, we get enough people calling in to say "not always":)

Thanks everyone
The registration thing didn't occur automatically, but I did activate the service by calling VM

I fully expected you would need to call up Tech Support, and it can be quicker.
