Im wanting to put my second V Box down the garden in my summerhouse. Will there be any problem with the length of the cable required, approx 100m ?
Thanks

You might need VM to put you on a higher signal tap which you might have to pay for

Thanks Graham.
Is it worth me giving it a go first or is it a none starter ?

Your going to get some serious signal degredation at that distance I would think

Probably a non-starter. Have you considered using a wireless video sender? That could work over that distance if it is has clear line-of-sight.

I think it really depends on how far you are away from the Street cab as I would have thought that there are houses more than that distance away.
Does the cable come into the property from the front or back .?

Wherever you ask. I'm sure the installer would rather run it round the outside of the house than have to try and disguise it indoors.

My neighbour had virgin media round upgrading him to HD and bummed a roll of cable and fittings off the engineer for a tenner. So I ran the cable down the garden but realised that you really need a proper crimping tool to make the ends off, so gave the guy a call and he came round fitted the ends, we plugged it in and it worked first time. Gave him a tenner for his time and everyones happy!

Cool the fact that the cable was made properly is definitely a plus, let us know how you get on
