We kept getting calls from a company asking for someone that doesn't or has ever lived at our address or had our phone number.

We have signed up for TPS etc but the calls keep coming (yes been registered for more than 28 days)

now it has become some sort of sick joke with a couple of quite obviously indian guys claiming to have english names when I asked them for their names and giving other fake details.

They called my wife (who had to answer the phone as she was waiting for an important call) and starting saying stupid things like "why did you kick my dog" and "do you want condoms as we supply them" and "you are only a 10 year old girl" It is really stupid and pathetic but we are at a loss to see what we can do to track these morons down. When dialing 1471 we get a message that says -the callers number is not known, what does this mean??
and has anyone got any suggestions??

We have tried to get caller id on the phone but it is not available in our area, although it was with BT!!

Thanks for that info, have just signed up but disappointed to find out that it will not stop calls from abroad!!

Also, how do people on BT phones that normally withold their numbers get through to me if I know them? I understand that there is a code that they can put in??

thanks again
