Hi

Since, as far as I can remember Friday morning, me and my wife's PC do not see our home pages, both BBC News, when we first open IO7.

Also some sites need lots of refreshes F5's to connect. Google is not connecting properly.
I was using static ip's on my network with no problems, but when this started switched back to DNS provided by ISP, no change though, then back to 193.38.113.3 & 194.177.157.4 the connecting problem persisted no matter what DNS setting where used. I switch MS Firewall and my Avast suite off an on, this made no difference.

Have rebooted Scientific Atlanta modem and my Netgear WPN824v2 several times to no avail.

I get the dreaded "Internet Explorer cannot display the web page" I then use "Diagnose Connection Problems" the first time I did this today (I think), it would not connect and it said reboot modem and router which I had done but did again.

Now I still get "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage" but after hitting "Diagnose connection" etc it say it's connect. I hit F5 it say "Waiting for http://newsbbc.co.uk.... nothing well "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage" after a few F5's of clicking on refresh arrows bingo!

But this keeps happening its still connecting haphazardly. Help! any ideas appreciated.

try 194.168.4.100 and 194.168.8.100 as your dns servers

Does one need to put these in the network setup on the PC as well as the router? I had done both.

Put them in the DNS boxes in your router, then power cycle router and PC (s), and all should b good :). Or use Opendns:

208.67.222.222 and 208.67.220.220.
