Hi all

This time two weeks ago i was happily using the 2 Mb service getting a steady 240KB/s (until STM kicked in of course :erm:). I then got a new deal for a year on 4 Mb and was getting a steady 460 Mb/s. Rebooted modem tonight to see if the 10 Mb upgrade had taken effect and lo and behold the modem config page showed 10240000 was now set. Trouble is the speeds are fluctuating wildly between 60 MB/s-350 MB/s, nowhere near 10 Mb speeds. I was better off with my 4 Mb package. I have a wired connection via a linksys 54GS router and the modem is an ambit 255. Anyone else in Leeds (ls5) experiencing this loss of speed :(
I know it's early days but i'm not impressed so far. :td:

I'm sure you mean KB/s NOT Mb/s as vigin media dont do more than 50Mb (and this has not been fully rolled out yet!)

so yeah, KB/s = KiloBytes, Kb = KiloBits, MB = MegaBytes and Mb = MegaBits
HTH :)

sorry to sound thick but when i run the ping or tracert command in the "run" dialogue box it vanishes as soon as it has finished so i can't copy and paste the results.

Edit...used command prompt, sorted now. No packet loss.

Same thing happened in LS3 about 40 minutes ago. Well, not the STM bit, but the rest of it!
