My internet has recently started to become very instable, and will stop working then shortly a few minutes later be back to its normal self.
Im using windows vista and a wireless router, and this has been happening for about a week now and is becoming very annoying!?
I have turned everything off and on, and tried updating firmwares and restarting my computer. But nothing seems to stop the connection cutting out all the time!
Can anyone help?
Thanks.

have you tried it, without router in place say as a test
to rule out problems there?

Post your modem stats, if you don't know how to get to these then post your modem type/model and we'll be happy to help :)

Post what modem you have and your power levels from your config pages of your modem.
Open a browser and in the address bar put> 192.168.100.1 password and username are both root if required.
DO NOT POST YOUR MAC ADDRESS OR SERIAL NUMBER

Your modem is the device that plugs into the router please post what type it is, the one with the white coax bolted on the back.
The above power levels are more or less OK for a EX-Telewest connection, the downstream is a bit high but could drop when not connected to your wireless router.
I would advise you to call Tech Support on 151 option 3 and explain over the phone what is happening.

That power level 12.6 is a bit high but first try connecting the modem direct to your laptop and rechecking the same power level remember to reboot your modem between swaps to see if it goes up or down.
It could be worth a call to Tech Support on 151 option 3
