Hi all

While compiling a list of test results to show VM that my ADSL connection really does suck big time.... I was compiling a list of pings to various UK servers.
Iv'e notice i get anything between 45ms and 98is ms to www.bbc.co.uk and the like, higher during peek times. But everytime I ping Virginmedia.co.uk i always get 25-50% packet loss.
Iv'e also noticed me connection now drops every ten mins, connected direct to ethernet or wireless.

Any explinations? I'm unable to online game since april!!! the first ten days of my install was great, no drop outs and reliable pings.

Just seems strange this is the only UK site i get constant packet losses from.

Remove your router (if you have one) and try direct connection via ethernet.
Reboot both your modem and PC.

Wow, mine is terrible compared to others...

Mine was all over the place a few weeks back, off 30 pings to the BBC I was averaging about 150ms and similar to Virgin, but in this last week it seems to have settled down... I haven't a clue why though.
