i'm a virgin media 2mb customer, now at the moment i'm experiencing speeds of 990 kbps has anyone else got this?

What can i do to sort this out

You might be being traffic managed
During peak times, the top 3% of downloaders on the Size: M package download at least 300MB of traffic each, with the top 3% of uploaders uploading at least 150MB of traffic each.

Any users hitting this amount during peak times (4pm till 9pm) will have their broadband speed temporarily traffic managed – their download speed will be set to 1Mb, with their upload speed set to 128Kb. This will last for 5 hours from when the traffic management policy is applied.

M = 2mb

2: What times during the day will this affect me?

STM was implemented in May 2007

Started off as 4pm - Midnight.

This was revised in December and changed to 4pm - 9pm.

There is a trial ongoing just now
10am - 3pm Download only
4pm - 9pm Download
3pm - 8pm Upload
During these times the following thresholds will be applied for upstream and
downstream.
10am - 3pm Download
Size M: 900Mb
4pm - 9pm Download
Size M: 450Mb
3pm - 8pm Upload
Size M: 200Mb

Only for the following areas: Preston, Wigan, Blackpool, Camden, Dalston, Enfield and Haringey.

If you aren't in any of these places then it's 4pm - 9pm.
