Are VM upgraging their 2 mb broadband package to 4 mb? when and how much will they be charging customers monthly if they do change it?

Cheers

Nothing planned as yet.

If they do do it, as with all other speed upgrades the tier prices should stay the same, so they shouldn't charge any more or less

Basically don't hold your breath, I doubt it will be in 2008

They better change it soon as they are going to be left behind if they don't.

£18 for 2mb is robbery these days !

Stop doing that lol.

It is only £18 if you don't have any other services.

I'm going to start quoting my be broadband @ £29 from now on, cos that is how much I have to pay to get it each month. be force me to have a BT phoneline which I don't ever use. Robbery if you ask me ;)

Well that's simply not true either.

I have phone, 2nd line, unlimited calls and 2 meg broadband. I can guarantee you 100% that my bill very month says

Internet £18.

um, yes it will because if you have the 2 for £20 it says

Phone £11
Broadband M £18
BB and Phone Saving -£9
=you pay £20 per month

Doesn't mean the broadband is £18 though

If you take away the phone you lose the £9 discount so then the Broadband becomes £18. Same way if you take away the broadband you pay £11 for the phone

Same for the 3 for £30

TV L £11.50
Broadband M £18
Phone £11
Phone TV And BB Saving -£10.50
=you pay £30

Erm.. isn't that the same argument that a supermarket uses about "buy one get second half price"? They haven't reduced the prices, just enticed you into giving them more of your hard earned cash.

I have VM broadband only and therefore pay £18/month.

Therefore the price for VM 2Mb broadband IS £18 with a discount if you want to pay VM for other services:D

So as BB M and Phone M is £20 and you pay £18 for broadband that must mean a Virgin phoneline is £2 per month. Isn't that really good value? ;)

No its BB M = £12.20 and Phone M = £7.80 give or take a few dp's.
That way the phone and BB are discounted by the same percentage!

Ever thought of going into sales? ;)

Like I said - 100% WRONG. My bill is as follows

Line Rental: 11.00
1 Additional Line(s): 11.00
Talk Unlimited: 7.95
Free Line Rental: -11.00 (loyalty thingy)
Broadband Size M: 18.00

That's it, no discounts or anything else. Scan attached.

Ok so yes you pay full price for broadband, because you have another offer.

Doesn't mean everyone does

No you are still wrong. The second line (which I have had for 8 years) discount has always been there. I'm not on any "offer" at all.

Because you can't have any other offer. Virgin would not give you a free phone line as well as something else discounted
