Does anyone know what the max download rate is from rapidshare, because i try to download a file and it will get to say like 80% and then it will cut off and i cant access the site or download from them for atleast 5 - 10 mins. its downloading at a rate of around 1500 - 2000kbs. so im not sure if its downloading quciker than its buffering the file.

Any one know a soloution? or anything at all.

Well, what software are you using to download? I download from Rapidshare and consistently get anything from 1.5MB/s to my max 2.6MB/s depending on time. 1.5MB/s at worst, during peak times.

Sounds as if your setup is not up for the job. Try a decent download manager.

Yup, 2MB/s during the day, generally a bit slower in the evening though.

I use flashget to download the files, i found out that if i set it to download 3 files together it wont time out on the site where as 1 downloading file would.

Very strange, maybe if you change your path from say Cogent, to TeliaSonera, or likewise in your options page (If you're a premium user) then you might have less problems?

Max i've ever done to Rapidshare is 7MB/s over about 10seconds using a college connection.

I find Internet Download Manager is an excellent utility, although it's not freeware, it's a tad better than Free Download Manager IMO, and you can simply select a bunch of links on a page and it will auto recognise the links and download them properly.

I use Orbit Downloader. www.orbitdownloader.com

Works perfectly, uses the cookies from IE6/7 and of course, can intergrate itself into Opera/Fx/IE if you so wish. Also has a handy scheduler, speed limiter, and a ton of other options.
Oh, and it's lightweight and Free to boot :)

IDM has the same features and more, but imo should be free.
