Hi

I'm on Virgin's 8Mb ADSL package.

I've noticed that during the middle of the night (midnight onwards) and during the day (until 4 pm) the speed is excellent- pretty much full 8 Mb speed- but between 4 and about midnight it drops to slower than an old 56k Modem. It is seriously that frigging slow- absolutely dire.

OK I do download a fair amount of stuff, but seriously, I dont do it peak hours and anyway surely they dont downgrade you to 33k do they? This has been going on for a few months now by the way- its not a 'today' thing....

edit: currently 77 kbps download speed & 377 kbps upload per http://www.speedtest.bbmax.co.uk/

Nice one Karl, I would have to say that your area is slightly subscribed beyond capacity :)
