This is a farce lol its like im going around in circles.....

In Novemvber when my problems began they said it was over subscription and then i was told no it wasnt.....

Then at the beginning of january i was once again told that it was over subcription and that the UBR would need upgrading and i would be contacted in due cource....

A few weeks later i was contacted to say that the UBR was due to be upgraded by the end of March and that would solve my problem, on the same day in the evening i was contacted by someone from Virgin media and told that what i was told was wrong, the UBR i was on they had no ideas that it had any problems until now and that they needed to get permission to get it upgraded and no idea when this would happen.

Last week i was contacted by someone and told that the upgrades to the UBR would start on Feb 22nd and would take approx 4 weeks to sort out. NOW via email from a tech support i have been told that the UBR in which i am on ISNT! due to be upgraded as there isnt a problem. What the hell is going on????????

Im back to 1.7mb on a 4mb connection and max of around 127kb/s downloads.

I havnt been traffic shaped as i havnt downloaded anything at all.

i think speedtest is having issues. just checked on there, came back with over 200ms

yet when i ping much further afield such as the pentagon website in the US came back with 20ms.

Do you know what UBR your on in swansea? will check it out on monday see of theres any planned maintainence

im on the cwmbula ubr 2 gateway 1.

if u could check it would be great, i was even put in contact with an engineer in the area who is part of the upgrades by Virgin themselves and he has promised to contact me twice and never has.

its getting rediculous now.

my downloads are not over 127kb/s even on the gamefiles test page they gave me.

Try download tests from ntlspeed.webhop.net larger files at the bottom of page
I did downloads earlier using IE and gamefiles, 2 files totalled 300kb/s
Used Mozilla on the ntlspeed page got over 10mb.
I was pretty stunned at the difference.

Sorry, I don't know what these errors are or mean.
I've never used them.
But I'm sure one of the other guys on here will.
