View Full Version : Connecting with Filezilla
Does anyone use Filezilla? I can't connect. I suppose it's something I'm not doing right, but I'm clueless to what it is.

Yep no probs with it.
What can't you connect to and what errors do you get?
I'm trying to access my webspace.
The error is just "could not connect to server"

Presume you mean your VM webspace? What address are you using?
upload.ntlworld.com is currently working fine for me.
yep. Using that. my username is bilkers66. Do I put user as bilkers66 or bilkers66@ntlworld.com?

Just your username - no "@ntlworld.com"
Are you currently on a VM connection? The upload servers will only accept connection from a VM ip address - won't allow connection from work, or elsewhere.
Ah, that's the problem then.
I'm getting connection established, waiting for welcome message then could not connect to server.
I'm at work.
Thanks for the help. Just have to wait 'til I get home to upload then!
I'm home now, but I still can't get in! I get the error code 530 login incorrect. I have the login type as normal.

Have you changed your password since you joined Virgin Media? If you have then try your original password.

Enter your info the same as the screenshot below and click "Quickconnect" and it should be fine.

Also, try to login using your original password for your account because it may not have changed if you tried to use FileZilla to change it.
Hope this helps!
