There was a problem across the country - perhaps 20meggers felt it hardest.

I'm disappointed though that the service status hasn't been updated now for nearly 24 hours. I've been without internet access all over the weekend. I often work from home and rely on being able to access the internet in order to do so. Being offline for days on end really is unacceptable. If this happened while I was in the middle of working from home, I'd be in a complete mess, although I doubt that Virgin would recompense my company for the day's lost work.

why would they? you are using a residential service for business purposes

I hear you but along with many people throughout the nation, I'm hardly going to pay for a business line for working at home one day a week. The end result is that if I plan to work from home and then can't access my work email/folders etc. then it's me who is going to be in trouble with the boss! Coming back to my main point though, it's unacceptable to go offline for days on end without giving a proper explanation of the problem. I pay a lot of money for this service and expect to have access to the internet, which I don't think is unreasonable. A few hours offline here and there is one thing but this is beyond that.

Yes, iIm in Cardiff too, and I find it very slow. Has anyone had the new Windows Service Pack 3 download.? I downloaded it but it won't install, or is it just me?

Mine has been down since yesterday afternoon and is still as dead as a dodo. Four rock steady lights on the modem but no connection at all.:(

This dail up is so slow, I'm drawing up plans for a pigeon loft.
